All the Magic of The Democratic National Convention With A Fraction of the Carbon Footprint (and Cost!)
Barack Obama and the Democratic Party will make history at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver on August 25-28. But you don't have to fly to Denver to experience the magic! Just join the San Mateo County Democratic Party at the Tom Lantos Memorial Democratic Headquarters at 628 El Camino Real in San Carlos for Denver By The Bay!
Each night of the Convention, you can:
- Watch all the action on our (very) large screen TV
- Receive exclusive reports from the Convention
- Cheer on Democratic leaders, including our next President, along side fellow Democrats
There are three ways to participate!
1. DBTB Galas (Monday, August 25th & Thursday, August 28th)
On the first and last nights of the Convention -- Monday, August 25th and Thursday, August 28th -- we're hosting gala events with exceptional local food and beverages to support our efforts to build overwhelming Democratic majorities. Have dinner while enjoying the power of the Convention keynote address (August 25th) and Senator Obama's nomination acceptance speech (August 28), and the camaraderie of your fellow Democrats!
Tickets for each gala cost just $100/person. Or purchase the Rocky Mountain High package for $200/person, and receive a ticket to each gala, as well as a special Denver By The Bay Gift Bag!
2. DBTB Volunteer Appreciation Nights (Tuesday, August 26th & Wednesday, August 27th)
Democratic volunteers, past and present, are invited to join us at the headquarters to watch the Convention festivities on August 26 and 27 at no charge! Light refreshments will be served.
3. DBTB Host Opportunities
All eyes will be on the Democratic National Convention August 25th-28th, and many of those eyes will be located in our San Mateo County Democratic Headquarters in San Carlos. If you would like to make a more significant financial commitment to the San Mateo County Democratic Party, and receive special recognition, please consider becoming an Evening Host (one evening) or a Denver By The Bay series host (all four evenings). Evening Host packages begin at $500; Denver By The Bay host packages begin at $1,000.
