SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA - The County Democratic Party will hold a forum for candidates for local office who are interested in the Democratic Party's endorsement process.

In November more than 75 local city council and school board seats will be up for election in San Mateo County. With the filing deadline for these races rapidly approaching the County Democratic Party will hold a forum for candidates, campaign staff, and interested members of the public. The forum will provide an overview of the Democratic Party's process for endorsing candidates for city council, school board, and other local offices in San Mateo County.

"The Democratic Party endorsement is an important factor in local elections" said County Party chair David Burruto. "A majority of voters county-wide are democrats and the county party has a tradition of actively supporting its endorsed candidates."
